COLDWELL BANKER® SYSTEM GROWTH HEADLINED BY MICHIGAN AND NEVADA MERGERS, ALONG WITH SOUTHERN EXPANSION

National Association of REALTORS® President-Elect Now Part of Coldwell Banker System

PARSIPPANY, N.J. (September 14, 2006)–Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation announced today that the Coldwell Banker^® system added four new companies in July and August. Fourteen other Coldwell Banker affiliated companies expanded their operations through expansion or merger/acquisitions.

Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors Inc., headquartered in Traverse City, Mich., and headed by CEO Ken Schmidt, merged with Woodland Realty, based in Holland, Mich., and AJS Realty in Grand Rapids, Mich. The newly formed company will have the largest real estate presence in northern and western Michigan. The company does business as Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors in Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, Coldwell Banker Woodland Schmidt in Western Michigan and Coldwell Banker AJS Schmidt in Grand Rapids. All told, the company now has more than 600 sales associates and nearly 40 offices.

Interestingly, two of the company's leaders will have a prominent place in the real estate industry later this year. Pat Vredevoogd, a former partner in AJS Realty and now a member of the new company's senior leadership team, will take over the National Association of REALTORS^® presidency in November. Jeff Young, who now serves as a sales manager in the Coldwell Banker Woodland Schmidt Grand Haven, Mich., office, will become president-elect of the Michigan Association of REALTORS^® later this month.

In Reno, Nev., Coldwell Banker Incline Village Realty, led by president and chief executive officer Tom Clydesdale, recently merged with Tanager Realty in the Lake Tahoe region. Coldwell Banker Incline Village Realty now has 10 offices, more than 340 sales associates and more than $1 billion in sales in northern Nevada.

In the south, Coldwell Banker Professional, Realtors, based in Virginia Beach, Va., opened new offices in New Kent, Va., and Moyock, N.C. The May issue of Virginia Business ranked the Coldwell Banker affiliate as the top growing real estate company in the state. The firm, headed by Dorcas Helfant-Browning, managing partner and chief executive officer, now has 13 offices and more than 260 sales associates in the two states.
