New Heroes’ Program Showcases Brand’s Impact

PARSIPPANY, N.J. (June 21, 2012) – Coldwell Banker Heroes, the Coldwell Banker brand’s charitable recognition program, is off to a great start since launching in early March.   The Coldwell Banker network has already reported donations of nearly $1.5 million and 3,100 hours to local charities in 2012.

Coldwell Banker Heroes tracks the value of goods, services, dollars and time donated to charitable organizations by members of the Coldwell Banker global network.

“Charitable efforts have always  been a foundation of  Coldwell Banker and our affiliated companies, management teams and sales professionals who take great pride in the role they play in their communities,” said Budge Huskey, president and chief operating officer, Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC.  “Each day, I’m inspired by new examples of generosity and selflessness and the Heroes program affords us a way to honor these special people while encouraging even more to get involved.”

Huskey cited several highlights of recent charitable activities within the Coldwell Banker system:

A team of staff and friends participated in a "Rollermania" fundraiser to benefit the Reach Out Winter Shelter Program in Federal Way. The company has also been a sponsor of several events that are raising money for local charities like East King County Habitat for Humanity.

Michael Cafferkey, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage (Burlingame, Calif.) – Cafferkey will climb Mount Shasta this month to showcase Summit For Someone, a charity that works to  instill critical life skills to under privileged urban children through transformative wilderness mentoring expeditions.  He has already raised $7,200.
