PARSIPPANY, N.J., (Aug. 21, 2012) - Coldwell Banker Real Estate CEO Jim Gillespie recently visited Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to mark the launch of the Coldwell Banker brand in Brazil. With the opening of offices in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro by Brazil Master Franchise, the Coldwell Banker franchise system now has a presence in 51 countries and territories worldwide.
Brazil Master Franchise, which purchased the rights to direct the Coldwell Banker brand in the South American country last year, is headed by President Antonio Lourenço and his leadership team, and is headquartered in Sao Paulo.
"Antonio has built a tremendous team and has a very aggressive growth plan targeting residential and commercial sales,” Gillespie said. "Their company has committed significant capital to grow the Coldwell Banker brand in Brazil, starting in the Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo markets, along with the country’s northeastern region.”
"We believe the Coldwell Banker brand has great potential to settle in the country, considering that the Brazilian real estate market continues to grow,” Lourenco said. “Brazil has seen an increase of per capita income with monetary stability, along with an ease in access to housing finance. Along with homeownership in Brazil, we are looking forward to participating in the exchange of business with Coldwell Banker companies in the U.S.” Lourenco added that Miami and Orlando are two U.S. cities that have seen an influx of Brazilian buyers.
