PARSIPPANY, N.J. – May 11, 2011– Fresh off the successful launch of the real estate industry’s first iAd for iPad, Coldwell Banker Real Estate sets the industry standard again by launching a new iAd for iPhone and iPod touch. Additionally, the new Coldwell Banker iAd marks the 100th campaign launched by Apple’s new mobile advertising platform in under a year.
With the new Coldwell Banker iAd, users can search for their dream home on their iPhone or iPod touch, scrolling through visually driven search features to find specific homes matching their criteria. The search begins with a home screen that allows users to choose desired home features like number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Then, after users set additional search fields like desired price range and ZIP code, search results are immediately displayed across the screen with images of available homes that are custom-tailored to individual seekers. Once they identify the perfect home, users can directly call the home’s listing agent with a single tap of the screen.
“We know that mobile marketing is critical to the future of our consumer engagement,” said Michael Fischer, chief marketing officer for Coldwell Banker Real Estate. “The iAd platform allows us to engage with consumers like no other mobile advertisement can. We go way beyond banner ads and search terms to offer an informative and entertaining custom home search tool. With iAd, Coldwell Banker Real Estate essentially becomes a part of the users’ app experience.”
Fischer cited the success of the Coldwell Banker iAd for the iPad, which launched in late March:
The iAd is a unique advertising unit only available through Apple's iOs. It allows advertisers to turn a mobile ad into an "app within an app" by serving up a unique functionality and experience within the app the ad is running on.
