Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, originality, and overall quality, with
equal weight being given to each criterion.
Each
entry must include the student's name, teacher's name, age, grade, gender, school address, school
telephone number and the parental consent statement set forth in the entry form (with
parent/legal guardian signature). Copies of the entry form may be downloaded from

www.scholastic.com/instructor
Do not
use any materials that are obscene or not suitable for family viewing in your entry. Do
not use any materials owned by third parties, such as pre-existing artwork, in your entry
- for example, you may not cut out pictures from magazines. Do not use the name, picture or
likeness of any person in your entry, unless you have their written permission to do so.
At the judges' discretion, entries that are (a) obscene or otherwise unsuitable for family
viewing, (b) in violation of third party rights (including, without limitation,
copyrights, trademarks, or rights of privacy or publicity) or (c) in violation of
applicable law or regulation, will be immediately disqualified.
All entries must be postmarked by December 8, 2008.

One grand-prize winner will be chosen in each age category (3 total) of K-2, 3-5, or 6-8. Seven (7) runners-up will be selected from the entire entry pool. One (1) classroom project will receive a class prize.
All winners and runners-up will be featured on coldwellbanker.feedroom.com and in a spring 2009 issue of Instructor and/or on www.scholastic.com/instructor.
Three (3) grand-prize winners will each receive a $2,000 cash prize from Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. Seven (7) runners-up will each receive a $500 cash prize. All cash prizes will be awarded in the name of the winner's parent or legal guardian.
Four (4) classroom teachers who currently teach the grand-prize winners (or parents who home school) each will receive a digital camcorder for their classrooms with an approximate retail value of $600-$700 dollars.
One (1) project submitted by an entire class will be awarded $250 for the class or school to share.
