About Robert Shearman
- Robert’s started his real estate career in 1981 by designing architectural and engineering plans for three residential home builders in Chicago. He earned his real estate license two years later and by 1986, was responsible for sales and production management for two additional building companies. Before leaving Chicago and moving to Boulder in 1997, Robert had handled more than 1,800 closings.
- In 1998, Robert joined Coldwell Banker Van Schaack and worked with the company for a brief time before moving to Coldwell Banker Colorado Landmark. Proving to be a successful Agent, he was acknowledged as the company’s first broker to sell an estate property in Boulder County for more than $2.5 million. He later served as an employing broker for Legendary Properties, which was acquired by the Sotheby’s franchise in 2004 to become Legendary Properties Sotheby’s International Realty. Robert helped evolve the company into Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty before he returned to Coldwell Banker to manage the company’s Devonshire office in 2011.
- Robert is recognized as one of the leading equestrian show riders and trainers in the United States and his field of expertise was Olympic-level dressage and combined training. He also held a teaching certificate in therapeutic riding for disabled children. From 1972 to 1979, he helped find and run Friends of Handicapped Riders, a nonprofit organization that provides therapeutic equestrian instruction for more than 200 disabled children weekly. Robert attended Miami University in Ohio and also has a pilot’s license
