  • A professional in the real estate industry for over 20 years, Kathy Kalnes is the Regional Vice President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Chicago Region, incorporating eight offices and a talented team of more than 650 real estate professionals.
  • •Helping Agents Succeed • Kathy’s passion for helping people has always been a driving force in her career. When she joined Coldwell Banker’s Tinley Park office as a sales agent in 1988, Kathy realized she could truly help people achieve their dreams through real estate. After a successful sales career, she decided it was time to share her experiences with other agents as a managing broker. She joined the Oak Lawn office in 1996, growing and developing a successful office and agents. Then, in 2003, she transitioned to the Hinsdale office, ready to help a new group of agents succeed. Seizing the opportunity for growth, Kathy took on a new challenge in 2007 and joined Coldwell Banker’s leadership team. She became a Regional Vice President, overseeing the city region.
  • •Leading Coldwell Banker’s City Region • Since taking on this role, Kathy has offered leadership and support to the managing brokers and agents within each of the Chicago offices. She believes in the agents and feels they are truly her #1 client. She also works closely with each office’s managing broker to stay apprised of what’s happening, from new listings to new agents and everything in between. Kathy takes pride in building an agent-centric atmosphere in the city region, always keeping the agents in mind. As a Certified Real Estate Coach, she believes that learning through mentoring and coaching can truly lead to a successful career. Kathy also makes sure training is offered frequently to make professional development within every agent’s reach.
  • •Achieving Dreams • Whether helping clients find their dream home or helping agents build a dream career, Kathy truly supports those she works with. Over the years, she has helped many agents learn and grow within the profession and is truly passionate about helping people succeed. It is this approach that has helped her build lasting relationships with her colleagues.
  • •Strengthening the Community and the Industry• When it comes to helping others, Kathy’s efforts go beyond the office. Throughout her career, she has been extremely active in industry associations. From her recognition as 2002 Realtor of the Year for the Southwest Association of Realtors, to many volunteer roles for the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Illinois Association of Realtors (IAR) and Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR), Kathy believes in giving back. In her current volunteer role for CAR as member of their Board of Directors, she helps lead the association, building valuable resources for its members. A member of Coldwell Banker’s Charitable Foundation Board, Kathy is also able to give back to the community and encourage agents to do so as well. She has participated in many fundraising initiatives and continues to encourage the region to raise money for many housing-related charities, including Chicago’s Ronald McDonald House.
