About Nikki Hertzberg

  • Understanding the Marketplace: Growing up, Nikki was exposed to residential real estate at a young age. Her father, a developer, not only discussed properties over the dinner table, but always took Nikki along to see his dozens of job sites. She developed an acute understanding of the marketplace, construction, renovation and re-development. In Chicago, the family connection continues. Nikki’s mother-in-law Sue Hertzberg is a top broker in North Shore suburbs and a fantastic resource for all things real estate.
  • After earning her BA at the University of Virginia, Nikki spent several years in New York City’s East Village and began a career in non-profit fundraising. She worked for several organizations that focus their efforts on community, education and providing opportunities to underprivileged children. She successfully raised millions of dollars for these important programs by bringing together stakeholders, volunteers, program officers and funders to achieve common goals. Nikki also gained experience grant writing, event planning and budgeting in these roles.
  • Communicating throughout the Process: The excellent communication, follow through and interpersonal skills that Nikki perfected as a fundraiser translated easily to a successful real estate career in Chicago.
